Building user-first
Web Experiences
Hola! I’m Renata, a Frontend Engineer crafting thoughtful, user-centered interfaces with modern web technologies.
Passionate about creating impactful web experiences
I’m a frontend engineer with nearly 6 years of experience building, scaling, and maintaining high-traffic, customer-facing web applications. I specialise in modern JavaScript frameworks such as Svelte, React, and Next.js, with strong expertise in TypeScript. I have a proven track record of leading frontend delivery, designing component libraries and design systems, and improving performance, accessibility, and developer experience.
I enjoy mentoring and supporting team growth through thoughtful code reviews and hands-on guidance for junior developers. I thrive in collaborative, cross-functional environments and enjoy partnering closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers.
Outside of my day-to-day role, I mentor aspiring developers through organisations such as CodeFirstGirls, Codebar, and Founders and Coders. When I’m not coding, you’ll usually find me outdoors, gardening, running, skiing, or cycling.
A few more facts about me:
- I’m half Czech and half Venezuelan
- I speak Spanish, English and Czech
- I’ve been living in London for nearly 10 years
- I’m an enthusiastic home baker
- I ran my first two marathons in 2025!

Ownership included component strategy, Shopify and MerchTools CMS integration, and overseeing the migration to SvelteKit and subsequent design evolutions prior to handover to Belstaff’s internal engineering team.

Somewhere Good
Frontend and experience direction for Somewhere Good’s video-first e-commerce platform, delivered in close collaboration with ANCC.
